Guidelines for Manuscript Submission

1.  ACTA MEDICINAE SINICA is a comprehensive academic journal in the field of medicine and health, approved by the Ministry of Science and Technology and the General Administration of Press and Publication of China, and sponsored by Guilin Medical College. It is publicly distributed both domestically and internationally to medical and health technology workers, as well as teachers and students of medical colleges and universities. This journal requires that the journal be ideological, scientific and progressiveness, and strive to timely and accurately publish new achievements, new discoveries, new theories and new developments in basic research, clinical research, preventive medicine research and pharmaceutical research in the medical field at home and abroad. The main columns include expert forums, academic papers, clinical research, clinical exchanges, reviews, medical education research, etc. Huaxia Medicine is a bimonthly magazine that has won multiple awards for excellent journals in Guangxi and excellent journals in Guangxi universities. According to the spirit of the "Methods for Selecting and Rewarding Excellent Papers in the Journal of ACTA MEDICINAE SINICA " at Guilin Medical College (Gui Medical [2022] No. 2), starting from 2021, papers published in Huaxia Medicine will be evaluated for excellence annually.


2. ACTA MEDICINAE SINICA adopts an online editing and editing office platform( https://hxyx.glmc.edu.cn ). Please ensure that all authors register and submit their articles with their real names on the website.


3. Please attach a letter of introduction from the unit stating that the information is true, there are no duplicate submissions, no disputes over authorship, and no leaks. For all human studies (including tissues and cells), please attach a copy of the medical ethics certificate and informed consent form (stamped with the unit's official seal). If it has been read out at domestic and international conferences, please indicate it on the manuscript. For any series of papers supported by scientific research fund projects, please indicate the source and number of the project on the homepage, and attach a copy of the project approval document, which is stamped by the unit to prove its authenticity. This journal will give priority to publishing a series of papers supported by funding projects.


4. Please write the document in Word electronic format. The submission strives for novel topic selection, rigorous design, reliable data, clear arguments, clear hierarchy, concise text, beautiful layout, accurate citation of materials, and provision of literature sources. The word count of the manuscript should not be less than 5000 words, and the simplified characters should be limited to the plan first announced by the State Council. Do not create different characters on your own.


5. The title of the paper should reflect the specific content of the paper concisely and accurately, and should not exceed 25 words in principle. The Chinese and English titles must be consistent. Please attach the Chinese and English names of the author's affiliation and the author's name (including Chinese pinyin) in the manuscript.


6. Author's signature. Each author should be the ideator, designer, or data collector of the academic content of the paper, able to provide explanations for the paper, improve the paper according to the review comments provided by the editorial department, and be able to defend the paper content in the academic community. Other contributors to the paper can be included in footnotes or acknowledgements. Authors with different affiliations, addresses, and postal codes should be listed and labeled separately. Please indicate the affiliation, professional and technical titles, date of birth, gender, place of origin, year of graduation, major, degree obtained, main research direction, contact phone number, and email address of the first author and corresponding author when submitting. The order of co authors in a co authored paper must be agreed upon by all authors.

In order to meet the needs of international academic exchange and literature search, all publications, clinical studies, reviews, and medical education research papers published in this journal should provide abstracts in both Chinese and English. The abstracts of publications and clinical research papers should be written in a structured abstract format in both Chinese and English. The Chinese abstract should be concise and to the point, preferably within 400, and the Chinese and English abstracts should correspond accordingly. The structured abstract consists of four parts: purpose, method, result, and conclusion, which can be arranged consecutively and labeled with the words' purpose ',' method ',' result ', and' conclusion '. The writing requirements for each section are as follows:

Objective: Briefly describe the problem to be solved, the reasons behind it, and the significance of the research.

Briefly describe the design concept of the research topic, the materials and methods used, and how to obtain and analyze data.

The Results statement presents the information and main data obtained by the research institute, and provides confidence values and statistical analysis P-values.

Conclusion: Based on the research findings, draw a conclusion and briefly state the theoretical value, practical value, and significance of the research.


8. It is advisable to use 3 to 8 keywords, using professional vocabulary from the "Chinese Subject Vocabulary List" (China Institute of Science and Technology Information and Beijing Library) and the "Medical Subject Vocabulary Annotation Word Sequence Table" (Institute of Medical Information, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences, 1984) or the latest professional vocabulary. Both Chinese and English should be consistent.


9. For the writing template and basic hierarchical structure of the paper, please refer to the template format of this journal, as shown in the attachment. All articles in this magazine can be searched on China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI).


10. The first letters of foreign languages in Chinese sentences, except for proprietary words, should be lowercase and pay attention to the size of English letters. One character is left blank before and after the addition and subtraction sign, proportion sign, and equal sign.


11. Please use the International System of Units (SI) as the legal unit of measurement, such as pg, ng, μg, mg, g, kg; μL, mL, L; μm, mm, cm, m; s, min, h;  ℃;  Nmol, μ mol, mol; kPa, etc., abbreviated without black dots. Please refer to "The Use of Legal Units of Measurement in Medicine" (Shanghai Science and Technology Press, 1987). According to the relevant provisions of the national standard "Statistical Terms and Symbols", the author should pay attention to the following regulations: the arithmetic mean of the sample is represented by (English small diagonal), not x (English large diagonal); Standard deviation is denoted as s (in English and Chinese), while standard deviation is denoted as sx (in English and Chinese); T-test using t (Yingxiaoxie); F for testing (Yingda Xie); Chi square test c2 (Xi Xiaoxie); The correlation coefficient is denoted by r (English small slope); The degree of freedom is represented by υ (Xi Xiaoxie); Probability is represented by P (English slope); The sample size is n (in English). The above symbols are all in italics.


12. Requirements for the use of tables and graphs. The design of tables and figures should be correct, reasonable, and easy to understand, so that each table and figure is "self explanatory", that is, by looking at the table and figure alone, one can roughly understand the experimental content. Do not express the same data repeatedly using graphs and tables. All tables shall adopt a three line table, and there is no need to draw vertical lines to distinguish various types of data in the table. The width of the draft should be 15 cm, and the height can be around 10 cm. The design should be beautiful and the lines should be smooth. Separate the characters from the image or mark them on the image. The photo must have clear layering, moderate contrast, and indicate the title, image number, and title.


13. References are limited to the main literature that the author has personally read. They should be written in the order they first appear in the text and indicated in square brackets in the upper right corner, such as [1-2], [5-8]. References should be publicly available works and research results, mainly from the past 5 years. Do not cite translations, abstracts, reprints, or internal materials. To demonstrate the continuity of academic achievements and respect previous research, please pay special attention to relevant articles previously published in this journal and mention them in the article or list them in the references. It is advisable to have a total of 30 articles, and to cite more Chinese and foreign literature from the past 3-5 years (more than 50%).


14. The reference format of this publication adopts the national standard format GB/T 7714-2015 (see Annex 1). Please refer to the following format for details:

After receiving the manuscript, the editorial department will number it in order. If the editorial department considers that the content of the manuscript needs to be modified, it will notify the author to make the changes within 30 days. If no relevant information about the manuscript is obtained within 30 days after submission, the author has the right to submit it to another journal. If the revision time exceeds the established deadline and it is returned, it will be treated as a new manuscript, and the receipt date will be re registered according to the new manuscript review process.


16. Unless otherwise stipulated in the Copyright Law, the copyright of a manuscript belongs to the author. The author shall bear the responsibility for the writing. According to the relevant provisions of the Copyright Law, this magazine has the right to edit and modify submissions. Please keep your own copy of the manuscript, regardless of whether it is published or not, we will not reject it.


17. After the author submits the manuscript online( https://hxyx.glmc.edu.cn )At the same time, please mail the A4 printed manuscript, unit certificate, and project certificate to the editorial department (Address: Room 316, Mingde Building, Guilin Medical College, No.1 Zhiyuan Road, Lingui District, Guilin City, Guangxi Province, Postal Code: 541199, Contact Phone: 0773-2805467; 0773-2295170), and indicate the author's detailed mailing address, postal code, contact phone number, and email address (if writing in the name of the unit or other collective, please indicate the name of the author or contact person).


18. This journal is a member of the "China Academic Journal (CD version)", "China Journal Network", and "Wanfang Data - Digital Journal Group". Any manuscript published in this journal is deemed to have been accepted for full inclusion. After the submission is published, the first author will receive one copy of the current magazine as a gift.


19. After the manuscript is confirmed for publication, a layout fee will be charged based on the amount of space and illustrations it occupies, and an additional printing fee will be charged for the color images.


20.The plagiarism rate of accepted manuscripts generally does not exceed 30%.
