Abstract 0bjective To observe the effect of acupoint direeted penetration of traditional Chinese medicine('TCM) on improving clinical symptoms and ankle-brachial index ( ABl) of patients with diabetie foot. Methods 121 patients with diabetic foot admited to the First People's Hospital of Shangqiu City fromJanuary 2021 to January 2023 were included in this study. The patients were divided into two groups by lotdrawing, the combined group (n=70) and the control group ( n=51 ). The control group were treated withconventional Western medicine, while the combination group were treated with acupoint directed penetration of 'T'CM ; symptom points with Western medicine. The therapeutic effects of the two groups werecompared, and the correlation between ABl index and patient treatment effectiveness was analyzed. Results After treatment, the main and secondary syndrome scores, C-reactive protein ( CRP ) of thecombined group were lower than those of the control group; insulin-like growth factor 1 ( GF-1 ) andinsulin-like growth factor 2 ( IGF-2) were both higher than those in the control group, with a statisticallysignificant difference( P<0.05 ). The ABl index of the combination group after 3, 7, and 14 of treatmentwas higher than that of the control group ( P<0.05 ). Aceording to Spearman correlation coelficient test.ABl is negatively correlated with TCM main syndrome, TCM secondary syndrome score, and CRp level, while positively correlated with IGF-1 and IGF-2 levels. Conclusion Acupoint directed penetration ofTCM can improve the clinical symptoms and ABI index of Diabetic footKeywords : diabetes foot ; acupoint directed penetration of traditional Chinese medicine: symptom points ;ankle brachial index
