Abstract:Objective To observe the effects of low-frequeney eleetrical stimulation assisted withbutylphthalide on dizziness symptoms and cerebral blood flow in patients with posterior circulation ischemicdizziness. Methods 74 patients with posterior cireulation ischemie vertigo admitted to our hospital fromFebruary 2021 to December 2022 were randomly divided into the control group and study group using arandom number table, with 37 cases in each group. The control group were received conventional drugtherapy combined with butylphthalide, while the study group were received low-frequency electricalstimulation on the basis of the control group. 'The vertigo symptom score , hemorheology index and cerebral blood flow were compared between the two groups, Results After treatment, the score of dizzinesssymptoms in the study group was significantly lower than that in the control group, with a statisticallysignificant difference ( P<0.05 ). After treatment, the whole blood viscosity, high shear of whole bloodviscosity , and low shear of whole blood viscosity in the study group were significantly lower than those inthe control group; the right vertebral artery blood flow velocity, left vertebral artery blood flow velocity .and vertebral basilar artery blood flow velocity in the study group were significantly higher than those in thecontrol group(P<0. 05 ). Conclusion The use of low-frequency electrical stimulation assisted withbutylphthalide in the treatment of patients with recurrent ischemic dizziness can effectively improve theirdizziness symptoms, reduce blood viscosity, and increase cerebral blood flow.Keywords : low-frequency electrical stimulation ; butylphthalide : posterior circulation ischemia; dizziness
